Cartlidge Levene is a small team of dedicated designers consisting of Ian Cartlidge, Melissa Price, Ben Tibbs and Matt Busher. All share a passion for a graphic aesthetic rooted in the modernist movement. Cartlidge Levene’s output spans over two decades and includes award winning designs for clients including Barbican Centre, Design Museum, Guardian News and Media, Selfridges and the V&A. The common thread to Cartlidge Levene’s work, no matter if printed, digital or 3D, is an intelligent approach based on a robustness of structure and navigation and an almost obsessive attention to detail. Cartlidge Levene are currently working on major commissions for Tate Modern and Musée d’Art de Nantes, France.

About Wim Crouwel and his influence on their work, Cartlidge Levene say: ‘Wim Crouwel’s rich body of work provides us all with a master class in layout and composition. His modernist aesthetic and the effortless simplicity resulting from the rigorous grid has been a constant source of inspiration for many years’.
