Unit Editions

Unit Editions is an independent publishing venture, producing books for an international audience of designers, design students and followers of visual culture. The company was formed in 2009 by Tony Brook, Patricia Finegan (both Spin) and Adrian Shaughnessy. In 2023, Unit Editions joined the Thames & Hudson family as the publisher’s latest imprint.

High quality design and production standards are partnered with insightful texts and informative commentaries to produce books on a wide variety of subjects – subjects that are either neglected or ignored by mainstream publishers.

Unit Editions books carrying the Unit imprint are only available from this website. Our books are shipped postage free to anywhere in the world. Superior protective packing is used to ensure that books arrive in pristine condition, and all large format books are shipped with protective corners.

We have a number of important books currently in the pipeline. The best way to keep up to date with our publication schedule is to sign up for our newsletter. People who receive our newsletter are the first to know about new titles and special offers.

Unit Editions sends occasional emails to let you know about items we believe will be of interest to you if you register with us. If you no longer wish to receive these emails, please send a removal request to us.

Payment

uniteditions.com accepts all major credit and debit cards (no cheques or money orders are accepted, sorry). All payments are processed by Paypal in pounds sterling. This site is secure and protected by government approved firewalls.

Your credit card details cannot be obtained by any other party.

Shipping

We do not make profit from our P&P, everything is calculated when you check out. If you have any questions about shipping, please ask and we can help.

All deliveries are sent with Royal Mail First Class

Europe shipping
Airmail Standard: Cost effective with a delivery time of approx. 3-6 working days.

Worldwide shipping
Airmail standard: Cost effective with a delivery time of approx. 5-10 working days.

Damage

If your product is damaged in the post, please notify us immediately and retain the product and packing and we will contact Royal Mail who will be responsible for addressing and compensating the damage claim. Notify us immediately and we will advise on the appropriate course of action. Once the product has been dispatched to the Royal Mail, risk of loss passes to the customer.

Loss

Once the product has been dispatched to the delivery service, the risk of loss passes to you. If you have not received your goods within 20 days you must notify Unit Editions via email who will advise on a course of action.

Returns policy

We do hope that you are very happy with what you receive. If you are not then please get in touch. We are happy for you to return item/s within 14 days as long as they are in their original condition. Once we receive your item/s we will issue a refund within 7 days. All refunds exclude postage costs.
